押し寿司器大活躍
「水曜日は昼休みに委員会で食べる時間がないから、一口で食べられるようなもの作ってね」という中学生の娘。最近その「水曜日」に活躍するのが押し寿司器。もう５年くらいも忘れ去られていた存在が、一躍脚光を浴びちゃったわけです。というのも、先日、友人の家でお昼をご馳走になったときにでてきたのが、変わり太巻。料理を作る仕事なんぞしていながら、何を隠そう、どうも簀巻きが苦手な私だったのですが、友人曰く「押し寿司器使ったのよ〜」とのこと。押し寿司器で太巻かあ。思わず膝をうったわけでした。
で、早速はじめに作ったのは、冷凍庫にあったしめ鯖くんと庭の大葉ちゃん、それに白ごまくんの組合せ。これが娘に「食べ易いしおいしかった〜」と好評だったのに気をよくして、豚の生姜焼きと赤ピーマンの炒め＆庭の大葉＆黒ゴマとか、牛肉のしぐれ煮と庭で巨大化した三つ葉（使いおわった根三つ葉の根っこを植えといたら化け物になってしまった）とか、っていう肉モノ押し寿司。太巻風（海苔が一周するもの）とライスサンド風（海苔が上と下だけ）とを作りわけたら大喜び。こっちも簡単酢飯（ご飯1合に対して、酢大さじ１、５、塩小さじ１／３、砂糖小さじ１／２強を混ぜるだけ）を持たせるわけだから、この季節、ちょっと安心だしね。
それにしても、やっぱり人の家でご飯を食べるってのは幸せだわ〜。学ぶことも多いし！
そうそう、この写真のしめ鯖の時、「ぜ〜んぜん足りなかった」といわれたので、それからはこの倍は持っていかせてます。委員会で食べる時間ないんじゃなかったっけ〜？
