ご無沙汰！
ちょっとご無沙汰してしまいました。３連休は新潟の義母を訪ね、そこから一緒に福島との県境に近い角神（つのがみ）温泉にでかけてました。ホテル角神の温泉はお湯がよくて、のんびりできて、従業員の人たちも感じがよいので、もう10回近く訪れています。ここ２年ほどちょいとご無沙汰していたのですが、久しぶりにいったら、やっぱりリラックスできました（1泊でお風呂に４回も入っちゃった！）。
家族で源泉の露天風呂貸し切りというサービスもはじまり、夕食も朝食も和食に統一（以前は洋食も選べた）、と、システムが変わっていましたが、味のレベルは上がったよう。鮎の姿寿司のようなものが出たのですが、そのご飯にあたる部分が何なのか、家族みんなで「おから？いも？なに？」と思い、きいてみたところ、大和芋をすりおろしてから空炒りし、裏ごしてから、味をつけてあるとのこと。日本料理って、そういうところに手をかけているんですよね。大和芋といえば、とろろとか、磯辺揚げくらいしか食べないので、食感に手をくわえられるとそれが何かいいあてるのって難しいんだな、と痛感。お馴染みの食材でもいろいろまだまだ変化をつけることってできそう、、、と思ったのでした。
