インドネシアでちょいと考えた
今回のインドネシアへの旅で何を思ったか。環境、自然を守ること、それはとても大切なこと。でもそこに住む人の思いというものもある。昨夏、マナドを訪れた夫は、たった1年でマナドはすごく変わったという。女性のメイクやファッションだけではない。海岸線はほとんどすべてといっていいくらい、新しいビルを建てるために工事中。この地もいずれはプーケットのようになってしまうのだろうか。
いわゆる先進国といわれる国々に住んでいる人々が求めるものと、自然が多いといわれる国々に住んでいる人が求めるものと、それはぜ〜んぜん違うんだなあ、、。今回の旅で何が一番よかったかといわれれば、きっとゆったりした時間の流れということなんだと思う、私にとっては。でも、その地に住む人々はそれを望んでいるわけではないんだよね。
結局のところ、自分の人生の目的をどう考えるのか、それをしっかりもっていないと、どこにいても流されてしまうだけなんだろうなあ、、、と思う。
日本の中にず〜っといると、その妙にかたよった価値観の中にしばられてしまう。いろいろな人に会うこと、さまざまな価値観に出会うこと。なぜ自分が年に何度も海外にでたいと思うのか、って、きっとそれなんだろうと思う。そういう中で、自分が求めるものを探っているのだと思う。自分を見つめ直すために。
