秋の味覚といえば、、
夕べ、今年お初の松茸を食べた。この間から、八百屋さんで「松茸どうですか？」とすすめられていたのだが、ウチの家族って、松茸に対する特別な思い入れがぜんぜんないのだから、もったいないことだ。
夫がデンバーに住んでいたころ、日系人たちは毎年山に松茸がりにでかけていたのですって。その収穫が半端じゃなくて、浴槽にいっぱいくらい採れたのだとか（うらやまし〜い）。その季節になると家中が松茸の香りになって今でもその匂い（香り、じゃないの）を思い出すのだって。正直いってもう一生分以上食べてしまったから食べなくてもいいのだとのたまう。
娘はきのこ大好きだけれど、松茸の値段を考えると、別に他のきのこでも充分おいしいというし、きのこがちょいと苦手な息子は、松茸を最後まで残して、しかたなく口にいれる始末。よくよく考えれば、たしかに松茸の値段は高いし、他のきのこも充分おいしい。でも、他のきのこと違うのは、この季節にしか食べられないのと、その季節であろうと毎日のように食卓にのせるってわけにはいかないっていうことかな（でも栽培ができるようになったという記事を半年くらい前に読んだ気もするので、今後は事情が変わってくるかも？）。焼けるのを待つでしょう、、で、焼きたてのアッチッチのところに、スダチをしぼって、醤油をチョッピリたらしてから、ハフハフしながら噛むとふわ〜っと香りがたちのぼる松茸。朝おきたときの光の感じが秋を感じさせる頃になると、やっぱり食べたくなるのよねえ。で、また、お値段の関係でお腹いっぱいじゃなくて、「あ、もう少し食べたかったかな」というくらいで打ち切りになるところが、「来年またね、、」という感じでいいんだなあ。
