上海からの客人
日曜日に、上海から日本に遊びにきている香港人（中国人）のカップルがまだ１歳にならない息子をつれて我が家に。彼らとは、ウチの息子がまだ１歳にならないころにはじめて香港で会い、その後、夫の赴任先のフランスでも一緒（妻の方が夫と同じ会社）、さらには彼女が日本で１年勤務、という長いご縁。ダンナはフリーで仕事をしているのでその都度、妻の転勤先について歩き、日本の後はシンガポール、今は上海、、というわけ。「孫がうまれるとご両親が遊びにくるでしょう？」というと、ダンナの方が、「でもウチの母は北京語がしゃべれないから、シンガポールはよかったけど上海は嫌いなんだ」だって。
中国って一口にいっても、ついまだ彼らのことを「香港人」と思ってしまう私ってのもあるし、広いのよね、やっぱり。
で、この晩のメニュー。昼間にもいろいろやることがあったので、簡単に、、というわけで、前菜にシメサバ（そばのスプラウトを飾って）、明太イワシを焼いたの、しゃぶしゃぶwith 庭の柚子を使ったポン酢とかなり複雑にいろいろ混ぜ合わせた自家製ゴマだれ。具を食べた後にまずはモチ（rice cake! ) を入れて食べ、最後は雑炊（卵と万能ねぎたっぷり）。デザートには、自家製柚子ゼリーと適当に作ったバナナ と紅玉のクランブル（しかしこれ、かなりうまかった、と自画自賛）。イギリスの友人からもらった「Honey Bush Tea」という紅茶。
