帰ってきました
インドネシアの北スラウェシに３週間でかけてきました。これからしばらくは、インドネシア報告になるかも。
はじめの１０日間は、Pulisanという村にあるドイツ人女性が経営しているバンガロー。生物学者としてこの地に赴任した後、村おこしの手伝いをしたい、といついてしまったカトリン。食材は地元でとれるものを使い、電気も夜４時間ほどしかつかない。お風呂はもちろんなく、水槽にためた水を頭からかぶって体を洗う。車が入る道はなく、ジャングルの中を１５分歩いて到着すると、目の前は海。
カトリンがこのバンガローを経営するもう１つの目的は、お金がなくて学業をあきらめなくてはいけない村の子どもたちのスポンサーを探すこと。私たち夫婦も、コンピューターを勉強したい１５歳のゲイリーと、船乗りになりたい14歳のアンドレのスポンサーになることに決めた。ここの客は、ヨーロッパからの人がほとんど。みな、カトリンの活動に共感してやってきた人たちだ。私は名誉ある日本人第一号スポンサーだそうだ。
「おいしいblog」というタイトルなのになんですが、これがインドネシア風のトイレとお風呂（？）＝カマルマンディ。水をくんで頭からザブ〜ン！日本の夏より涼しいのにこれははじめ結構つらかった。
